ABBA related Releases of
2015 There are fewer ABBA reissues scheduled for this year. The Deluxe Editions series is largely played out and ABBA
Live at Wembley has been finally released. Every permutation of single disc greatest hits , double disc best of , Spanish language compilations, love song album, singles box, album box, etc. have all been done and done and done. So Universal really is finally running out room for possible new reissues (aside from the biennial re-release of
ABBA
Gold, of course). And now CD's are no longer selling well so there isn't much point. The only thing really left to release are 1977's ABBA the movie tracks /
live concert recordings, and some sort
of Beatles Anthology style release of all those ABBA unreleased tracks and alternative takes. The latter at least, is not likely to ever happen
since Bjorn and Benny object to the idea. Indeed, the remarkable thing is that a ABBA rarities album probably wouldn't sell very well if it was even tried. So we are left with what we have so far for this year-a new Frida track, a download only soundtrack with music by Benny, a choral album with music by Benny and so forth. A new BAO album is scheduled to come out next year. A English version of "Hjälp Sökes is under consideration-but if they couldn't stage Kristina in the English speaking world, it's hard to see how they are going to stage Hjälp Sökes. I am still waiting for a Benny Andersson solo piano album now-that would be an album that I would go out buy!

We Used To Do The Anthology 1965-1967, Cherry Wood Records, British CD, March

A compilation of tracks from the Hep Stars first three
albums as well as non- album singles from this period. This is the Hep Stars at their commercial
peak, when they were Sweden’s biggest group. About ten of the tracks were written by Benny
and or/ Björn . This is the first Hep Stars compilation issued in the UK. All the tracks have been previously released. Most of the important Hep Stars recordings are here-so this is a good introduction to the Hep Stars. The
set features liner notes by Kieron Tyler
plus an interview with lead singer Svenne Hedlund . A fix of the tracks are
different mixes than the versions heard before on CD. Notably the version of “Wedding” has the
lyric to FELL down on my knees" instead of "to fall down on my knees.

Josh Groban-Stages, Reprise, International CD and download, April 28, 2015.
Josh Groban played The Russian in the Concert version of Chess. On this album he does two cover of B&B theater songs. Features another version of "Anthem" from Chess and his take on the English language version of "Gold Can Turn To Sand" from Kristina. The arrangements are quite fresh-at first I didn't recognize "Gold Can Turn To Sand" and the piano intro to "Anthem" is excellent. The album as a whole is a little lugubrious -but otherwise good.

This Israeli duo has done a interesting cover of ABBA's "SOS" for this download only album.
Mono has issued this new download/spotify single. It's a new English translation of a Chess Pa Svenska song, "Han Är en Man, Han Är Ett Barn". Up to now the song only appeared in the Swedish version of Chess. I'm not sure why it's being
released or if it's a stand alone release. Reidun is a chesty Norwegian singer.

A choir album of choir versions of songs from the post ABBA Benny Andersson
songbook which appears to be largely or completely
sung in Swedish. Benny Andersson worked with the choir on the album. The leader
of the choir, Gustaf Sjökvist died in February, but the recordings for the
album have already been done.

Frida-Something's Going On (Limited Edition) Polar , Swedish CD/DVD/vinyl edition October 23, 2015
CD/DVD/vinyl single edition of Frida's Something Going On
album. Frida is writing the liner notes. The set is very expensive
costing between 50 to 60 Euros/Dollars. It's a limited edition with only
2000 copies issued. (They would probably sell less than that if it was
a normal edition). Apparently, you need to preorder now to have any
hope of parting with your 57 Euros.

A 40 disc box set collection of singles, ABBA Gold -40th Anniversary Edition ABBA: The Official Photo Book , ABBA-Live at Wembley, a Chess remastered reissue and a just confirmed deluxe edition CD reissue of Gracias Por La Musica.

For the Waterloo Deluxe
Edition ,the original album has been expanded with 8 bonus tracks, plus a
DVD of rare and previously unreleased television material. .
The first disc in the 2-disc package is a CD, which features the
original album plus 8 bonus tracks. The bonus selections feature all the
various versions of ‘Waterloo’ – the Swedish, French and German
versions, as well as an alternate mix of the English version – plus the
Swedish version of ‘Honey, Honey’; the remix of ‘Ring Ring’ that was
first released on the American version of the Waterloo album; the single
remix of ‘Ring Ring’ released as the follow-up to ‘Waterloo’ in the UK;
and the Spanish version of ‘Hasta Mañana’. The DVD features 13 TV selections, most of which are
previously unreleased. Little of interest here, but the best version of the Waterloo album available.

A three disc set compiling ABBA Gold, More ABBA gold and a CD of B-sides, though most of the "b-sides" are songs from ABBA's albums that just happened to release as B-sides on ABBA's singles, like "That's Me" on the B-side of "Dancing Queen". Still this particular configuration hasn't been tried before, A steel packaging version of this release will be released on October 27, 2014.

ABBA-ABBA-Live At Wembley 2CD (or3LP) set Late September 2014.

September 2014, Polar Music will release ABBA LIVE AT WEMBLEY ARENA (a
whole evening with ABBA)! "
The 2 x CD or 3 x LP was be released world
wide! It included two previously unreleased songs "I'm Still Alive" and "Gammal Fäbodpsalm"
This
release has been prepared by Benny's son-Ludwig Andersson. It is said
that he tried to present the songs in "worts and all" versions here,
as opposed to the tweaked versions found on the ABBA Live album. (The ABBA Live album also featured recordings from 1977 and 1981) .
There
are two "new" songs available here. "I'm Still Alive" is a
melodramatic 1979 song (that was never released elsewhere ) with
music by Agnetha and so-so lyrics by Bjorn. " "Gammal Fäbodpsalm"is a instrumental cover of a Swedish
pastoral hymn written by Swedish composer Oskar Lindberg . It was used
as the opening overture for the concerts. Neither are great songs, but
it's good to see them finally see official release.
"I"m
Still Alive" is the only ABBA song to not feature a writing credit for
Benny Andersson. The recording of "Not Bad At All" by Tomas Ledin and
the ABBA backing band which also performed at the shows was not
included. (that's no great loss.) Many of these songs have been released
in similar live versions on ABBA's Live album or on the ABBA In Concert DVD.
ABBA appeared at London's Wembley Arena (as opposed to Wembley Stadium) in November 1979. ABBA's 1979-1980 tour was their last concert tour.

Chess Deluxe Remaster.... November 24, 2014
Benny Andersson confirmed in recent interview that a 30th anniversary reissue of Andersson-Rice-Ulvaeus Chess studio album will be released. It includes three bonus tracks, since some of the songs recorded were not used due to a lack of space on the original 90 minute 2LP set. A DVD will also be included with the set which includes a vintage TV special on the making of the album and five music videos made of the songs.. Fans were disappointed that none single mixes and o demos made for album were released here.

A reissue CD version of the original ABBA Spanish language album from 1980, is under consideration as well for 2014. This album was superseded by ABBA Oro, so it hasn't been reissued on CD recently. The CD of Gracias Por La Musica will likely contain the same 15 tracks found on ORO. These 15 songs are the only Spanish language tracks ABBA recorded. 8 were recorded specifically for the original Gracias Por La Musica album in 1980 and the other 7 tracks were recorded close to the date of their original English counterparts in 1973, 1979, 1980, and 1981.

the highlight has been the release of a new Agnetha Faltskog
album, her first album in nine years.
Also of interest were the cast album of the new Andersson-Ulvaeus musical
called HJÄLP SÖKES and the Deluxe edition of ABBA's Ring Ring album.

The new Agnetha album to be called simply A, it was released
in May 2013....When You Really Loved Me, has been released as the first single
from the album, and there is another single , The One Who Loves You Now. which
is only Available on iTunes Germany.
Past
Forever is a piano based track, "Dance Your Pain Away" is a
disco number, "Back On Your Radio" is pop song "I Should've
Followed You Home" is a duet with Gary Barlow of Take That, while "I
Keep Them On The Floor Beside My Bed" has been co-written by
Agnetha. She told BBC
News: "For this album, we had an idea that maybe I should try to
write one song. She also co-wrote one song on two of her previous three English
language solo studio albums.
Fans have been positive about the first single released so far...
UPDATE:the album has been released to positive reviews, and has hit the top
10 in many territories.
It has now gone gold in Australia, the UK, and (no surprise) Sweden.
This appears to be due the considerable promotion and publicity that has been
done for the album...

2013 international download only release...A new Agnetha single is
out. It just appeared out of nowhere. ...Well without prior notice. We
knew she was recording an album-but there had no indication that all the work
had finished on that yet. Then again, it doesn't take forever to record a ten
songs.. Apparently there will be no physical CD release for the single. . The
song appears to have been written by Jorgen Elofsson, the cowriter of "A
Moment Like This" and a few other hits. Fans have been positive about the
first single released so far...
Three other singles have been released though these three have not been
released in all territories..

Apparently, ABBA the Museum commissioned a all new CD that compiles some
of the best of
four members pre-ABBA solo work. Nice idea, though of course, most true
fans would have all the music found here, and for more casual fans the
selection of recordings doesn't really capture the full flavor of the pre-ABBA
solo careers, but that is hard to do with just 15 tracks.
This is the first time music by the Hep Stars has been compiled together with
other ABBA stuff on an ABBA related CD. (Unlike Frida, and Agnetha -the Hep Stars have never been a Polar records artist )....The closest thing to pre ABBA solo
compilation before this one was the excellent 1994 Pa Svenska collection.
This CD is currently only available in the museum shop, since the museum web
shop isn't open yet.

Benny and Bjorn's
fourth * musical is called HJÄLP SÖKES , Lars Rudolfsson originated
the story and directed . Kristina Lugn wrote the (script) book
, Bjorn Ulvaeus wrote the lyrics . The music is by Benny Andersson. Benny
worked on the music close to the deadline. When the project was announced Bjorn
was not on board, but came on later to the project to help with the lyric
writing, that Kristina Lugn had started on...
HJÄLP SÖKES loosely translates to "Help Wanted" and the musical is
about some middle aged farmers needing help. The help comes in the form
of a mother and her daughter. And the mother and daughter are not Sophie
and Donna. The staging includes animals including a goat, a dog, and
others.
Benny has written a few
songs with Kristina Lugn before, and of course, works regularly with Lars, who
is the director of Kristina Fran Duvemala. This musical
was kept well under wraps. Apparently, the musical has only eight songs with
vocals the first one introduced was called Bortom sol och måne
(Beyond the sun and moon). The musical is being staged at the small
Orionteatern in Sodermalm in Stockholm. The theater has it's 30th anniversary
next year. The musical is premiered in February 8, 2013, and performances
ran through summer.

ABBA's official site and Carl Magnus Palm have announced that there will be a
Deluxe version of ABBA's Ring Ring album. It will be released in October 2013
.The album was originally released in 1973 and credited to Agnetha,Bjorn,
Benny and Anni-Frid.
Like, the other ABBA Deluxe versions it will consist one CD and one DVD. The CD
includes the relevent B-sides and rarities from the era, and the DVD has TV
clips. The DVD appears rather sparse this time, but the CD has lots of tracks
including oddly a few songs recorded by artists other than ABBA.
One relevant track was left off - the Swedish language B-side. Ah vilka
tider. Strange to cull this one considering some of the other weak tracks
on this album. Bjorn and Benny vetoed it.

Byrn Terfel is a Welsh bass-baritone opera singer. This is album he did with the Mormon
Tabernacle choir it includes a vocal version in English of” Saknadens Rum/ "Kärlekens Tid". called “Give
Me My Song”. The song was originally recorded
by Benny Andersson Orkester. Terfel
debuted the English language version of the song a few years ago-and finally
got around to putting out an official recording of the song on this album
release. The album was recorded in May 2013 in Salt Lake City. Also features
special guests Tamara Mumford and Sissel Kyrkjeb. The Norwegian Saknadens
singer, Sissel has also recorded works by Benny Andersson.

The DVD features all the official ABBA promo clips in remastered form, including two previously unreleased videos: ‘Conociéndome, Conociéndote’ and ‘Gracias por la música’ which are the Spanish versions of ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’ and ‘Thank You For The Music’, respectively. the clip for "Chiquitita" is from the BBC. . The videos are in a 16:9 ratio instead of the usual 4:3, so you get to see small bits of the original 16mm films that you might have not seen before. So the DVD might be worthwhile, if you don't already have a full set of ABBA DVDs . The DVD is fairly generous with 34 songs.

ABBA-The Visitors (Deluxe Edition), Universal Music CD/DVD International release April 23, 2012
For once, ABBA's record label, Universal, actually has managed to surprised us. Universal Music's press release about a "new" ABBA song has drawn a considerable attention on world news Websites, much more attention than other recent reissues have gotten, probably more attention than it should have gotten.
The deluxe edition of The Visitors will be released in April of 2012 and it will include "From A Twinkling Star To A Passing Angel (demos)" a recording which has never been released before. The press release originally did not state exactly what these unreleased demos consist of -but a week later Benny Andersson confirmed that it was merely work tapes for the released track, "Like An Angel Passing Through My Room". When, the song was originally recorded it was more complex, and early mixes were made of the more complicated versions of the song. . There have already been a few " work in progress tapes" already heard unofficially from The Visitors sessions, due to a theft of tape copies from Bjorn's car. These bootleg tracks have included instrumental versions of songs, and early takes of songs such as "When All is Said and Done, and "Two for the Price of One's these bootlegs are what is included here.
It was Benny Andersson's idea in October and November of 2011 to edit a nine-minute medley of the various working tapes of "Like An Angel Passing Through My Room". Included from various work tapes is the original demo, with vocals by Björn, a disco version, an alternate lyric version called ‘Another Morning Without You’ and a run-through with Benny on electric piano and Frida on lead vocals.
Bjorn and Benny have usually been hesitant to release their unreleased stuff-so the release of "From a Twinkling Star..." is bizarrely inconsistent from that policy. Why not do the same thing for the other ABBA deluxe releases, for example release the work tapes for "Chiquitita" which had been contemplated back when when the box set was issued in 1994. Why not release "Just Like That" the excellent 1982 track that has yet to see full release. JLT is the holy grail of unreleased ABBA tracks. (The various reissues of the Visitors album have always contained some selection of the tracks recorded in 1982 after The Visitor album was released.) Bjorn was once asked by a fan on the group's official website if they would ever release a Beatles Anthology style collection of rare tracks and outtakes, his reaction was total disdain for the very idea. Benny recently said that he hoped this was the last of the unreleased recordings.
The CD/DVD also includes the usual assortment of bonus tracks and TV performances. The other five 1982 recordings are included as well as "Should I Laugh Or Cry" and the nine original songs from The Visitors album. The DVD is notable for not including more from the Dick Cavett Special, which included originally a interview and nine songs. The DVD includes two songs from Dick Cavett Meets ABBA, where ABBA previewed two tracks from their forthcoming album: ‘Two For The Price Of One’ and ‘Slipping Through My Fingers’.The video included for ‘When All Is Said And Done’, features an edit that differs slightly from the version heard on the album – this video is included here with its rare original soundtrack in stereo.
Also featured are two lengthy television appearances,for the promotions for The Singles – The First Ten Years. album.
What's good about this set? Well it is a wonderful album for fans of ABBA's more serious work, and the 1982 songs are certainly wonderful as well. A lot of albums don't get this nice deluxe treatment, so I am happy about that too!

Here we go again with the vinyl collectibles of stuff we already have. ABBA will release a limited edition 12-inch vinyl single for Record Store Day on Saturday, April 21. The A-Side features "Voulez-Vous (Extended Dance Remix)", originally released as a promo-only single in the United States and France. This marks the first commercial vinyl release of this remix. On the flip side is another dance number “If It Wasn't For The Nights”, originally released on the Voulez-Vous album. The Voulez-Vous dance mix can also be found , if I am not mistaken on the Definitive Collection 2CD set.
This limited edition Record Store Day release is pressed on blue glitter vinyl and packaged in a cardboard sleeve. The 12-inch single, which is limited to 5,000 numbered copies (catalogue number 00602527957302), is for sale exclusively in participating stores. Anne Wood-Divine Discontent, 2012 Australian CD and I tunes release.
This is a new album of mostly ABBA cover songs by Anne Wood who starred in Australian version of Mamma Mia. She played Donna in two stints in 2001 and 2010.
Of interest to Bjorn and Benny fans is the first released version of ""The Day the Wall Came Tumbling Down", which was originally written to be recorded for Barbara Dickson. The original version was never released. The song is about the fall of the Berlin Wall, and while a very interesting song-it is perhaps not quite as good as they Bjorn and Benny hoped it would be.The Dickson version can be heard in a 2002 live performance made on You tube..

ABBA-Happy New Year, Universal, Limited edition 7 inch vinyl single, November 30, 2011
This is a 500 copy limited edition of ABBA's 1980 holiday song, "Happy New Year" . The B-side has "The Way Old Friends Do",. This record was only available from the ABBF fan club site and from the official ABBA site. The release pre-sold out in few hours . Pretty good for a outmoded format with a couple of songs every ABBA fan already has. Collectors were pissed off that the record disappeared before they had chance to buy a copy.
"Happy New Year" had been previously released as a single in 2000 by both ABBA and the A*Teens to coincide with the millennium. In May 2011, a restored 1980 promo video for "Happy New Year" was featured on the ABBA-Super Trouper Deluxe Edition CD/DVD.

Benny Andersson's son Ludvig Andersson, has released a new album.
“Empires and Stuff” is the first album from the Stockholm duo ATLAS. Ludvig Andersson (vocals, guitar and various other instruments) and Mats Lundgren (keyboards and even more instruments)
Previously Ludvig recorded an album with Ella Rouge and a solo album. Mats Lundgren worked a group called Pine Forest Crunch. The featured Youtube video track is called E.T. The CD is available from the ABBF fanclub site. Benny Andersson does not play on the CD. The CD was recorded in the new Mono Record Studios.

The fourth in a series of Deluxe Edition ABBA CD/DVD. They feature previously released music, the original album plus relevant B-sides and/or foreign language tracks. Also included is a a DVD of TV performances and other relevant video material. .
The audio tracks have been remastered yet again for this release, The disc includes a never before available stereo mix of the original, full length version of "On And On And On", previously only available in mono. All the other audio tracks have been previously released. The television performances of tracks from the Super Trouper album, have been not released on DVD before. Included is a rare vintage documentary Words And Music, produced by Polar Music , which features the group talking specifically about the Super Trouper album in 1980.
Also included is a new featurette, entitled "Somewhere In The Crowd There’s You – On Location With ABBA". It compiles footage that was shot on the night when ABBA and their album designer, Rune Söderqvist, assembled a crowd of friends and circus performers to create the spectacular photograph featured on the Super Trouper album sleeve. This archive footage has been sitting in the archives for three decades without ever being made public – until now. You get the feeling that Rune had big ideas for this cover, and that somehow things just didn't come out totally how he envisioned. (His original idea had been to shoot the cover outside in downtown London. )
Also included are the much released original promo clips for ‘Super Trouper’ and ‘Happy New Year’ – both of which feature footage shot on the “album sleeve night” – to give the viewer further glimpses of what took place that night. The sequences included in the promo clips, shot by director Lasse Hallström, are completely different to the footage in the featurette, filmed by a separate film crew. The promo clips are the newly restored and remastered versions, out of which only ‘Super Trouper’ has been released before (on last year’s ABBA Gold CD/DVD Special Edition); the restored ‘Happy New Year’ is seen for the first time.

The Rivals- "Merry Christmas, My Friend" , Promotional Video, December 2, 2010
Benny and Bjorn wrote this song to promote the Hotel Rival during
the 2010 Christmas Season.
It's the first Christmas song that they have written as a team. However , Benny did a write
Christmas ring tone for the Swedish Red Cross a couple of years ago. The song is a little awkward written, not particularly
anything to write home about. The employees on the video don't seem particularly enthusiastic, but that may just be a Swedish
thing. In any case, the song and video for "Second to No One", the previous Hotel Rival music project, was substantially better.
This has not been released as physical single, not sure whether it is downloadable as a MP3.

Yet another version of ABBA's most popular album.
The CD features the latest remastered version of the album, while the DVD features newly remastered versions of all the video
clips featured on the original DVD.
The DVD includes five bonus selections in the shape of "before-and-after"
split-screen comparisons of five original film clips and the remastered versions of those clips. The new DVD also features
a recently discovered archive find: a cartoon version of 'Money, Money, Money', made circa 1977. (I have never seen this
particular cartoon version). ABBA Gold Special Edition also features a brand new essay on the album by Elisabeth Vincentelli,
author of the books ABBA Gold and ABBA Treasures.
The ABBA Gold CD/DVD Special Edition will be released in a so-called
flip-tray with a slip case.

This is a new album "Reconnection" by Swedish musician Georg "Jojje" Wadenius.
The album features guest singers Nina Persson, Helen Sjöholm, Peter Jöback and Frida. Thomas Johansson, ABBA’s tour
promoter, had the idea for bringing Georg together with guest singers. Frida leads the album off with an excellent vocal on
the song "Morning Has Broken", the Christian hymn made popular by Cat Stevens. Frida likes this song she used
as a promise song at her wedding to Prince Reuss.

from 1972 to 1984 on August 19. Each box will contain 10 DVDs and may be purchased individually or together at a discount.
The first box will contain episodes aired between 1972 and 1976, including the well-known "Best of ABBA" episode from August
of 1976. The second box features ABBA's performance of "Chiquitita" from 1979, while the third will feature the Agnetha and
Frida solo apperances on the program from 1982-1984. This set was withdrawn was right holders objected.

choral song performed at a wedding of wedding of Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling.on June 19, 2010.
The title translates in English to “Resting blissfully in your arms”. The single also features a acapella version
of the song. The song features music by Benny Andersson and lyrics by Kristina Lugn. Kristina had previously written
the lyrics.to "Nu mår jag mycket bättre" from BAO 3. Conductor Gustaf Sjökvist and Benny Andersson are both members of the
Swedish Academy of Music. This recording was made at Konserthuset, Stockholm,
June 2010 by Bernard Löhr. The single is produced by Benny Andersson, and the arrangement is by Anders Eljas. The single will
be available at the ABBF record service site and other Swedish music web outlets.

ABBA-Voulez-Vous-Deluxe Edition, Universal, 1CD/IDVD, International release May

The long awaited deluxe version of Voulez-Vous is finally came out on May 31, 2010.
Although
no totally new tracks are included,the version of "Dreamworld" included on this release is the full version without fade-in,
as a master tape containing the full version was recently discovered. The most obvious omissions are the Spanish versions
of "I Have a Dream" and "Chiquitita".
Not surprisingly, None of 1978/1979 rarities found on "ABBA undeleted" are included
here. So that means no full versions of "Just A Notion", "Rubber Ball Man" etc.
The Voulez-Vous Deluxe Edition expands
the original album with five Voulez-Vous era bonus tracks, as well as a DVD featuring television performances and interviews
related to Voulez-Vous. As with the previous deluxe editions, the DVD is more interesting than the CD. The key feature on
the DVD is the debut of the entire ABBA in Switzerland TV special.
This reissue is about a year late, but Universal wanted
to give priority to the totally new ABBA in Japan DVD.

This
is the long awaited English language concert version of Kristina Fran Duvemala. The concert occurred on September 2009 at
Carnegie Hall in New York City. The concert featured Helen Sjoholm and Russell Watson. It received some good reviews
but most of the critics did not like the lyrics, and thought it was boring. Some agreed that actual music
was good. The main reaction to the CD in particular has been neglect and lack of interest. So doing
this musical in English may ultimately be a unrewarding venture.
Benny Andersson produced the release of the CD version of this concert. The actual recording
was made in a empty Carnegie Hall the day before the concerts. I found it fairly listenable, though it is no more intelligble
hearing in this Engligh truncated version than it is to hearing it. in the full version in Swedish. The Carnegie
Hall concert was repeated in London on April 14, 2010. There are plans also to bring Kristina to Helsinki in 2012.

Sony -Cupol will release the 3 CD box set "3 Original Album Classics" in January. This set will include
three of Agnetha's Swdish solo albums by Agnetha: "Agnetha Fältskog" (1968)"När en vacker tanke blir en sång" (1971) and "Elva
Kvinnor I Ett Hus" (1975). This set is based on the recent "5 Original album classics" that featured five Agnetha early
solo albums, which itself drew on the six disc Agnetha boxset called "Den Forsta Aren".

ABBA In Japan – Universal, DVD October 26, 2009 international release
This
DVD features ABBA’s adventures in Japan in 1978 and 1980. The main section
of the release is “ABBA Special”, a television special filmed when the group visited Japan in November 1978. Unlike most specials of this kind the DVD has been resembled from unedited materials meaning that the DVD features more of the actual filmed performances.
The
DVD comes with two bonus sections. The package features a illustrated booklet with an essay by Carl Magnus Palm.

Benny Andersson Band-Story of a Heart, European CD July 6, 2009 (June 24, 2009 in Sweden) Also released in

This is the first English language album
to be released by the Benny Anderssons Orkester who are retitled Benny Andersson Band for the purposes of international release.
This CD is mostly a compilation of previously recorded songs ranging back as far as 1987. Nine of the fourteen songs
are instrumentals. Four of the songs- “Fait Accompli”,“Our Last Dance”, “You Are My Man”,
“ The Stars” feature never before released English language vocal tracks. The album features one totally new song
“Story of a Heart”, which is a Andersson-Ulvaeus song that is more ABBAesque than the usual
BAO stuff. I think "Story of a Heart" is good recording if not a great song,and not necessarily a good vehicle
for Helen's voice.
The English lyrics to "Our Last Dance"
and "You Are My man" come off as kind of cliche. It is often to do literal translations of songs to another
language. "The Stars" works well, and is my favorite of the new recordings on this CD.
The album was released a couple of days
after the band's first appearance in in Hampstead, Britain on July 4, 2009.

There is also to be a single CD Highlights , a 2CD version and DVD version which are to be released
both in the United States and Europe. This concert version stars Josh Groban and was taped in 2008. This is yet another
reworking of the everchangable Andersson- Rice-Ulvaeus musical. This time Tim Rice took another go it, Bjorn and Benny dont'
appear to be involved, though they no doubt had a veto, if they did not like the project as a whole. This
record is also an attempt to issue a fairly complete verson of the musical, based generally on the original
London staging. Here and there Tim Rice has changed a few lyrics, and a few of the songs make their debut on record. The
album was recorded live, and and as a result many of the performances sound a little shaky. If you
want the definitive CHESS it would seem that it is still your best bet to go back to the 1984 studio
album.

Complete Edition" with a total of 39 tracks in the end of 2008.

2008 brought many new releases in the profitable Mamma Mia franchise, but little of genuine artistic
interest.
Josh Groban -A Collection December 1, 2008 Europe only
. A collection of Josh's best loved songs plus a bonus disc of Christmas songs from the No.1 US album "Noel".
This
album includes Josh's version of 'You Raise Me Up', the first version of the song to have become a major hit before it was
later covered by Westlife, 'Anthem', recorded for live as a special anniversary performance of Chess at the Royal Albert Hall,
however the song is expected to be released with the whole Royal Albert Hall concert in 2009. This set also included
'To Where You Are', that he performed before a global audience at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert.and features a
live version of 'Weeping' recorded with Soweto Gospel Choir at the Mandela Concert in Hyde Park.
Released ahead of Christmas, also features a second CD highlighting festive songs such as 'Silent
Night', 'Little Drummer Boy' and 'Ave Maria'. It does not have my favorite Groban track- his version of "Oh Holy Night".

U.S. retailer Walmart has released its own exclusive 2-DVD version of Mamma
Mia!-The Movie including a bonus disc with different features than the regular 2-Disc Special Edition.
Included on Walmart's bonus DVD are:

MAMMA MIA! THE MOVIE SOUNDTRACK Deluxe Edition CD/DVD November 24, 2008
This set does not include the actual movie. The package includes the soundtrack CD, a "Behind the Music" DVD and
hardcover booklet which features song lyrics, never before seen photographs and commentary on the film and the soundtrack.
The CD soundtrack does not include instrumental tracks that were originally rumoured to be on never issued planned
two CD special edition of the sountrack. The DVD contains 30 minutes of filmed footage from the recording sessions,
interviews with the cast including Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Amanda Seyfried, Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus; rare
and supposedly hilarious moments from the making of the MAMMA MIA! soundtrack.

A 35 track hits compilation from Aggie. All the tracks are previously released. One CD features her Swedish tracks
from 1960's and the 1970's. The second CD features English language tracks from her post ABBA solo career (the exception
being the ABBA track -"The Winner Takes It All" ). The tracks are not sequenced in chronological order. The compilation
includes tracks from her 2004 solo album, My Coloring Book. Eyes of a woman is under represented
in favor of Wrap Your Arms Around Me. There are no track from her duet albums with her either of her children. The bluish
cover features a stunning photo of Aggie from the mid-1970's. There is something rather scary about
the idea that this album is celebrating 40+ years of the music of Aggie Fältskog. Equally scary is Aggie's duet with
Bjorn called -"Så här börjar kärlek".

To help celebrate the 60th year of vinyl Universal is re-releasing 80 titles in vinyl. The first batch includes
ABBA -The album. Supposedly, Each album contains a voucher enabling the purchaser to download MP3 versions of
the songs within. Supposedly, the album replicates
the original packgaging. The disc is pressed on 180 gram (heavier than normal) virgin vinyl. No bonus tracks
of course, since they would not fit anyway.
Original Soundtrack Recording, Mamma Mia-Decca label 177 418-4 , International CD -July 2008
The movie soundtrack album was released in the summer, slightly before the release
of the movie, . The CD was released in Sweden and the UK on July 7, 2008 (and in the
US on July 8, 2008 ). This album actually went to #1 in the USA, and in many other places.The movie soundtrack
was actually more successful than the musical's original cast album, which has tended to sell at a slower pace
in most of the markets it had been released.
The music was recorded before the movie was filmed with the vocals sung by the original
actors in the movie. The musical backing tracks were newly recorded in February 2007 by Benny Andersson with
the help of three veterans of the original ABBA band ( Rutger Gunnarsson on bass, Lasse Wellander on guitar,
Per Lindvall on drums. An orchestra was used for parts of the backing track, and the chorus parts for the vocal tracks were
recorded by the Stockholm ensemble cast of Mamma Mia. Two songs that were in the original musical are not sung in the movie-
"Under Attack" and "Knowing Me, Knowing You" . "Knowing Me, Knowing You " has been replaced by "When All is Said And Done'
. For reasons not clear yet, the following songs are not included in the soundtrack album track listing -Overture / Prologue,
Chiquitita,Entr'Act, One Of Us, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, and Waterloo.
The main drawback of the album is that so many of the performers are actors first not singers, and
so most of the lead vocals are underwhelming. The vocal performances do have character though,.
Of course, even the best singers are not likely to improve on Frida or Agnetha' vocals, so instead the best
approach appears to be try something slightly different and that's what is sometimes tried here.
Originally there was also supposed to be a special two-disc version of the soundtrack .
The two disc version was to have included instrumental versions of songs that underscore the action in the movie, the
end credits medley and god knows what else, but this idea never came to fruition, perhaps simply due to quality control concerns.

The 66 track, 4-CD ABBA box set, has been re-released in a downsized format, in accordance with current
day box set packaging. The booklet has been redesigned with different photographs, and parts of the essays and
liner notes have been gently corrected and updated. Which means of course, that the booklet is shorter with fewer pictures. The
disc content remains exactly the same as it was in the original 1994 edition.

This release features updated packaging for the often reissued seminal 1992 ABBA compilation. The
CD on this edition is now packaged in what is called the Super Jewel Box. You might ask what is
the Super Jewel Box? Super Jewel Boxes are made of crystal clear, high grade polystyrene and features
improvements to the old CD jewel case, such as a new and patented hub for one or two discs, rounded corners, stronger
hinges, an advanced locking clasp, visibility to graphics on all four spines, and increased durability.
The booklet has been slightly updated at the same time, and the CD supposedly features the latest remastered versions
of the same nineteen ABBA tracks. Certainly not worth tracking down, unless you have a thing about
throwing away your money.
ABBA- More Gold, Universal 060251724733, International CD June 2, 2008
This is a reissue of the 1993 release in updated packaging. This release has undergone another overhaul,
with revised liner notes, a re-designed booklet and a remastered CD. The track listing remains the same. According to ABBA-World
this CD was released in Germany 17 June; Australia 14 July; and in the UK 25 August.
You, the Living (Du Levande) Released on DVD in Sweden May 2008. UK DVD release planned for
July 2008
Another dark movie comedy by Swedish director, Roy Andersson, who also directed Songs from The Second Floor. Benny Andersson
is credited as the composer of the music to this film, though I have no info yet on what songs are used. This film stars :
Jessica Lundberg, Elisabet Helander,and Björn Englund.

Frida is said to be considering recording an album with Jon Lord, the former Deep Purple keyboardist who,
worked with her on one song on his last album..
2007 featured a new album by BAO and a few other releases,
but not as many as other recent years.
ABBA -THE MOVIE -Blue Ray version .....November 2007
The 1978 ABBA concert movie is now available in some territories on Blue Ray . This release appears to have the
bonus material found on the second disc of the original DVD released in 2005. Thus the 40 minute interview
with Bjorn, Benny and Lasse Hallstrom is included.

This is the original cast album from the South Korean staging of Mamma Mia. the Korean version has played more

and Jon SookyungThe cast album was apparently recorded live and sung in the Korean language.

Tommy Korborg and Helen Sjoholm are featured singers."Fait
Accompli" and "Bonde söker fru" (Farmer seeks wife) have been featured at Skansen. "Crush
On You' is an unfinished song dug up from the late 1970's. "För dig" (For you)
is tune that the Bao have playing live for awhile.
"Upp till dig" (Up to you) is similiar to the 1982 B & B composition "I Am The
Seeker" , which was part of the english version of the ABBACADABRA musical. This is sung by Helen. Kristina
Lugn wrote the lyrics to "Nu mår jag mycket bättre" (I feel much better now) , this song is sung by Tommy and Helen.

ABBA-The Album Deluxe Edition October 15, 2007 International release
Their 1977 album will be released with bonus tracks and an accompanying DVD of rare and previously
unreleased performances.
The Album, was originally released 30 years ago, in late 1977.
Like last year's
Deluxe Edition of Arrival, ABBA - The Album will be extended with six bonus tracks and a DVD of rare and previously unreleased
performances and news reports. Of course, there is still no sign of the rare unreleased 1977 live tracks- "I am an A"
or "Get On the Carousel".The illustrated 28 page booklet includes an Carl Magnus Palm essay on the making of the
album.

The Japanese released these two CD pack sets of ABBA's eight studio albums-Ring Ring/Waterloo, ABBA/Arrival,
The Album/Voulez-Vous,and Super Trouper/The Visitors. The four sets are released separately
and each CD appears to feature the 2002 remastered track listings, thus the CD's have the normal bonus tracks that you would
expect...

A new version of Universal's multi disc collection of all of ABBA's official studio recordings. This one is new but has
been actually made worse than the 2005 fluffy dice box version since -it no longer features the two bonus DVD's included
originally....
Also, the set no longer includes the lyrics booklet....granted most of the lyrics were not very good...But well,
the set still has the nine CD's and an exciting timeline booklet...And it still costs over 100 dollars to buy....

Includes every episode of the classic first season that featured Chevy Chase, John Belushi and others. Thus this set includes
ABBA's appearance on NBC's Saturday Night on 15 November 1975, in a show hosted by Robert Klein. Their performance of SOS
is notorius for being lip-synched, but is still entertaining.
SNL shows and performances have been released and rerunned before, but usually not in their entirety, so this first time
that the complete show that ABBA performed on has been made available..

Yes, like the Beatles Elvis and the Bee Gees, ABBA's compilers have attempted to compile all
their number one hits on one cd...Of course, ABBA did not have enough number one hits in any one country to fill an entire
74 minute CD, only the Beatles can come close to making that sort of claim..So instead this CD must
compiled on the idea that all or most of the songs on the first CD were a #1 chart hit somewhere on some
kind of chart....The second CD is limited edition bonus CD with some extra previously released tracks.
For some reason the UK released a different so called standard version which includes "Ring
Ring"and "Summer Night City" (extended version) .

Rajaton consists of Essi Wuorela (soprano), Virpi Moskari (soprano), Soila Sariola (alto), Jussi Chydenius
(bass), Hannu Lepola (tenor), and Ahti Paunu (baritone).
So that would be - three woman and three men singers
sort of like an adult Finnish Brady Bunch.....This CD is released by the amazing Plastinka label.
Originally, Plastinka was just a plastics company, but in recent times Plastinka has branched out into music and fine stemware.

Sofie's new CD covers the full spectrum of the Benny Andersson/Bjorn Ulvaeus songbook from early ABBA through Chess, Kristina
and finally to the BAO. This album includes three new English lyrics of songs originally recorded in Swedish. Two of these
songs ("Walk with You Mama, and Butterlfy Wings " )are Bjorn's first new released English language lyrics in a long time.
The third new English translation is a transltion of "Efter Regnet" called as one would expect "after the Rain" ,the new
lyric is by the original lyrist Mats Norklit.
Benny Andersson is pictured in the liner notes and he looks like a old
man, and he manages to plays piano on two tracks -"Walk With You, Mama"and " After the Rain". Benny's friends -Anders Eljas
(piano, arrangements) and Kalle Moreaus (banjo) also play on the CD. The recordings were actually made in September 2004 at
the the Atlantis Studios (the studio often used by ABBA that was formerly known as Metronome studios. .) The album was produced
by George Wadenius , who also plays on most of the tracks. The release was delayed partly because Anne's busy schedule as
operatic singer did not allow proper time to promote the album in 2005.
As fascinating as the selection of songs is. I am not sure that Anne's voice is ideal for some of these songs.... Still
"Walk With You, Mama" works as do a few other tracks. Benny is pictured in the liner notes and he looks like a old man....
ABBA fans are starting to call Anne "Sofie the otter" .They named a new otter pup at the Stockholm aquarium after her,
the other one they called Bjorn!

Snippets from 16 ABBA hits (if I counted correctly) are being made available as ringtones by
Universal Music Mobile and its telecom partners,
including Vodafone, SFR, Orange, T-Mobile, DoCoMo, KDDI and other telecom operators..
The Universal press release says that "Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus were personally involved
in the selection of the realtones"-well that's reassuring, I would guess were not going to see any "Just Like that'
ringtones sneaking out.
The newly available ABBA mobile phone ringtones, include " Waterloo," "Super Trouper," "Money, Money, Money," "Fernando," "Knowing Me,
Knowing You," "Voulez-Vous," "Does Your Mother Know," "Honey Honey," "Take A Chance On Me," "I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do,"

The group is a female trio that takes it name from
the CHESS character, Florence Vassey. The ladies in the group are Benny
Andersson's daughter-in-law Lisa Östberg and her friends Anna Granath and Sara Jangfeldt. They all sung in the Swedish version
of Mamma Mia. . .
Both Benny and Ludvig Andersson play on this CD..
The album does not include any new Benny Andersson songs.

Here is a box set that includes Frida's three 2005 remastered solo albums
(Frida Ensam, Somethings Going
on, and Shine as well as Djupa andetag .. plus a DVD of video material...
The Cd's are nice to have I suppose, if you don't have them already, but a real box set with more genuine rarities would
be more interesting...About 10 of Frida's official recordings (mostly duets ) from 1972-1996 have not been included on
the Cd portion of this box set.
However, the DVD is of considerable interest, and has also been made available separately. The DVD is called FRIDA THE
DVD 1967-2005. The DVD features an exclusive interview with Frida that was shot in the summer of 2005, in Switzerland with
the Matterhorn in the background (must be nice). Frida chats chats, chats... about Agnetha, ABBA reunions, her career, Phil
Collins , and her taste for small gummy bears . She also shows us clips from Swedish TV and most of the videos from her solo
career.. Many of the videos are rare and have not been seen by most ABBA fans....Both the CD's and DVD omit her little 1992
mini-comeback -"Saltwater", "Anglamark", and the never released charity concert that featured "What a Wonderful World" with
Marie Fredriksson . The clips from Lite Grand I örat TV show are not from the original master
tapes and thus are of poor quality. Frida's friend Dan Daniell is also interviewed. The complete "The Making of
Something's Going On.and "Mit I Livet" TV specials are included.
The DVD has subtitles with subtitles in French, German, Spanish, English and Portuguese. and is coded for viewing in all
regions and runs three hours and twenty minutes. Frida's DVD is easily the most rewarding and unexpected of the various 2005
ABBA reissues and collections...Have a gummy bear, they are yummy!

Daniel Balavoine-Balavoine Sans Frontieres French 2cd set Late 2005
This set includes Frida 's hard to find duet with the late Daniel Balavoine called "Belle" and " Dieu que c'est beau" which
has backing vocals by Frida..."Belle" is from "ABBA-Cadabra". The song is not available on any Frida albums...Frida stuck

MADONNA-Hung Up CD single November 2005 international release
This single went to number one in Britain..and actually reached #7 in the US. ..Madonna samples
the 1979 ABBA single "Gimme Gimme Gimme on this song. This is only the second song to officially use an ABBA song
sample... Madonna gave B&B songwriting credit...thus the writers of the song are listed as Madonna, Stuart Price,
Benny Andersson, and Björn Ulvaeus . The CD single features remixes...

Madonna's latest CD features"Hung Up". "Hung Up" samples ABBA's "Gimme Gimme Gimme". She did this with Bjorn
and Benny's approval...(They got songwriting credit as well.)
The rest of the album is also dance orientated, rather than ballads or covers of "American Pie"... The album
is mildly controversial because of the track "Issac" offends some listeners...This album reached #1 on the American sales
charts..Both "Hung Up" and "Sorry" reached #1 on the British charts...Track listing follows...

In English the title reads Gemini - The Best Of Karin And Anders Glenmark", but you knew that...This is the oft-promised Gemini collection that compiles seven songs each from their two 1980s albums. Both of these albums are hard to find. Both of the albums were coproduced by Bjorn, Benny and Anders Glenmark..Rumours
had been that this collection would have bonus tracks, and those rumours were correct...There are five tracks not found on
the two original albums...a Gemini b-side, one unreleased track,one new recording, and a single recorded before
the two Gemini albums.. ( The the Anders solo track-"Antiligen" was removed from the final track listing for the
CD..

Following the example of last year's Japanese box set, Polar /Universal have put together a new "complete'
box set.This is the first internationally released box set to compile all of ABBA's studio albums... The roomy blue box contains
9 Cd's, 2 DVd and two hard back booklets. One of the books has lyrics , the other has commentary, and liner notes. The
DVD's are NTSC standard...
The audio component features most of ABBA's released recordings including all eight studio albums, b-sides,
foreign language recordings, most alternate mixes as well as the rarities that were released after ABBA broke up... The set
has four alternate mixes new to Cd- the mono mix of "ON and On And On" previously heard only on videos,"Should
I laugh or Cry " has Benny counting it in the beginning, Waterloo is Swedish single mix and Summer Night City is
the correct full length version rather than a patched together version...
This set is the first to include Spanish versions as bonus tracks on every one of the eight studio albums.
The major
exclusion here is of course, ABBA's live album and the half or dozen other officially released live tracks..But they
are not "STUDIO' recordings.
Naturally, unreleased studio recordings (like the full version of "Just Like That
" or "Nationsang' ) have been not included here either.. Nor does one find private releases like "Sang to Gorel', "Fanfare
for a Ice Hockey Championship".
The DVD set features basically a repackaged version of THE DEFINITIVE Collection DVD set on the first DVD. The
recent "OUR LAST VIDEO' puppet video is included as a bonus.
A history of ABBA (originally found on the ABBA GOLD DVD and a short version of the 1981 DICK CAVETT
TV special concert is on the second DVD.
There have been complaints from fans that the Dick Cavett segment only has five
of the originally aired nine songs-Supposedly, they cant find the other four songs in the archives.
Annoyingly, this will
be llimited edition release...So it may not be around forever...

Finally a re-release of ABBA-The Movie. ABBA's 1977 cinema theatre release.
It has never released on DVD.
It had out of print on video...
The Movie (if you didn't know) is largely a concert film with an
amusing if thin story about a Australian dj trying to interview ABBA. The film is directed by Lasse Hallström. Lasse
was the director of most of ABBA's videos and would later go on to direct My Life is a Dog, Cider
House Rules and many other films.
There are two versions of the movie.The single dvd version has no extras.
The 2 DVD version has the film on one disc and bonus features on the second disc. The bonus features are an interview
about the film with Lasse Hallström, Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, the original ABBA - The Movie trailers; an ABBA
- The Album TV commercial and a picture gallery. Apparently, there were no live outtakes available.
Fan experts
say there is more that could be included . There has been a delay in release in the USA....Their was controversy
over whether Warner (who had he original American movie rights) had the right to release the DVD....However, The single
DVD version is available in Canada...and the single DVD will made available in the Us in 2006.

This is a new Swedish markert only compilation which features all four of ABBA tracks in Swedish
as well as 14 other hits... Apparently this CD sort of replaces the 1990's out of print Polar Music compilation called PA
SVENSKA which is the only previous CD to have all four Swedish language ABBA tracks....PA SVENSKA is better cos it had harder
to find solo tracks .
A international release of this was issued in August 2005 with a different track listing...

The Swedish cast version- Mamma Mia Swedish June 2005
Remarkably, or not Mamma Mia had yet to be staged in Sweden, prior
to 2005, so here it comes, in a Swedish language version ... ABBA originally only translated a hand full of their songs into
Swedish-so this will be the first time many of the songs (especially the later ones) have been presented in the Swedish language...The
Swedish version of the song lyrics were written by Niklas Strömstedt along with Bjorn. Peter Dalle translated the
spoken parts in "Mamma Mia" into Swedish. The musical premiered at Stockholm's Cirkus in Stockholm in February 2005. Both
Bjorn and Benny had some involvement with this production. Mamma Mia! is a Mono Music AB production will be
released by Universal Music In Sweden only !

Agnetha's
first five Solo studio albums as part of box set as well as with a bonus disc of non-album tracks. All these albums are in
Swedish, but they have the advantage of including many songs written or cowritten by Agnetha,,
Includes six CD's and a 40 page booklet.. the Cd's are in sleeves not jewel
boxes.. The booklet is in English and Swedish. This covers her recordings on Cupol Records. the original front and back covers
of each Lp are featured. The sound quality is Ok except on Agnetha's first album (they still haven't found all the original
masters for that album. The first two of her solo albums (AGNETHA FALTSKOG & AGNETHA FALTSKOG
vol. 2) had been issued on CD before but, Agnetha's third(SOM JAG AR) fourth (Nar En Vackar Tanke Blir En Sang), and fifth
(Elva Kvinnor I Ett Hus) solo albums had never been treleased on CD prior to now. So far you still can not get those last
three individually on Cd.
Agnetha's third, fourth, and fifth solo studio albums had not been released on CD prior to this box set .This is

ABBA-Thirtieth Anniversary Original Album Box DECEMBER 22, 2004 9CD BOX SET JAPANESE ONLY RELEASE
This
is a limited box set features ABBA's original eight studio albums in their 2001 remasters version which including various
bonus tracks. There is also a bonus CD with rare but not unreleased tracks. ABBA's albums have never really been put together
in a box set before-so that at least makes this an interesting release. Includes the 2001 liner notes , as well as booklet
in Japanese.. UNIVERSAL will release a similiar box set in Christmas 2005.

This DVD features a taping of of an October 5, 2004 perfomance
at the Vulkanhalle in Cologne, Germany.
Ex-Deep Purple member Lord plays keyboards and
is joined in his merriment by various other folks. Frida sings one song "The
Sun Will Shine Again" though for some reason she lip-synched the performance, she does talk live, though...The song is found
also on the Beyond the Notes CD

ABBA-IN CONCERT ---DVD Released 2004
This is a documentary of the 1979 ABBA tour of North America& Europe directed by Swedish Tv pro -Urban Lasson. It mostly
features musical segments from the concerts, but also documents life on the road for ABBA as well as a seemingly endless series
of segments with roller skaters.....It has been shown before on TV (back in 1980) and been out on video, but had not been
available recently... The main body of the original TV special included twelve songs- all but one of which could found in
original studio versions on either the Greatest Hits Volume 2 or Voulez-Vous. Some Fans have objected that the performances
of the songs are edited-but while not complete most the song segments are relativley long. Apparently, the camera did not
actually film complete shows-so in many cases the songs were not filmed in their entirety. A few of the songs benefit from
live presentation notably -"Summer Night City" and "I Have A dream" wheras some of ABBA's best songs -"Waterloo", "Dancing
Queen" , and "Knowing Me, Knowing You" do not come off as well in live performances. .. This DVD new version features two
songs not included on the original home video-The Way Old Friends Do and Thank You For The Music, as well as the full version
of "I have A Dream" which was widely used previously as the official promo clip for that song.../. "The Way Old Friends DO"
is easily the best moment of the film and seems strange that if was left out of some of the 1979-1980 versions of the TV special
as,well on off the original home video released in 1980. This performance orginates from 1979 ABBA's concerts' at London's
Wembley Stadium in one of the last important concert of their careers..(though they did not know it at time.) The song features
Benny on accordion and the all the group singing. It almost borders on spontaniety, almost seems genuinely emotional , both
of which were qualities in short supply for ABBA when performing live...At one point Lasson chooses a great back shot of the
group which really gives one a sense that yes, we are looking at music legends.... I think that in general that Lasson did
a good job on this special.. Some listeners have complained about the sound quality, which I cant comment on because i have
not heard the DVD in 5.1 sound but I didnt really notice bad sound quality... The DVD features informative Interviews with
ABBA's tour promoter, Thomas Johannson, and the film's director Urban Lasson and a Fully illustrated booklet with an essay
by Carl Magnum Palm.. . This is the first time this title has been released on DVD. This is the fourth official ABBA product

ABBA thought to have some minor reunion
to mark the 30th anniversary of their Eurovision breakthough A near reunion nearly occured at the fifth anniversary performance
of Mammia Mia in London's West End. It was hoped that Agnetha might induced to come out of hiding due to the need to promote
her album. Instead only Bjorn , Benny and Frida showed up, on stage in a semi-reunion. Frida had attended performances before
but had never gotten up on stage with B&B before....
All four members of ABBA finally agreed to appear briefly and
separately in a short but clever and entertaining video clip broadcast during the 2004 Eurovision song contest...It originally
been hoped that the four members might agree to make a non-singing appearence together, but instead this near reunion was
agreed to....The video features ABBA puppets and ABBA song references, The Dvd features the video , a making of the video
segment, and some of the full original ABBA videos that were mentioned in the "Our FINAL VIDEO."

and Cilla Black. . The album is being produced by Anders Neglin and Dan Strömkvist. "If I Thought You'd Ever Change Your Mind"
has been released as the leadoff single.. Prior to this album.,Agnetha didnt have much opportunity to do too many covers of
classic 1960's pop music during her solo career because most of her material was newly written for her solo albums... The
title of the album is after a song by John Kander and Fred Ebb. Like Agnetha's last couple of studio's album, this album will
be released on the Warner Music label. This album has been released internationally.The sales for this album were
intially quite good but dropped off quickly.

This album features Benny Andersson and his orchestra on two of the tracks and Benny helped with producing
the record. The arrangments on the album are by Martin Östergren. The songs are Swedish folks songs by Evert Taube. Per Myrberg
sang in CHESS PA SVENSKA. The album has received mixed reviews.

Swedish blond backing vocalist on some of ABBA's tours, she is solo singer who sang for the Polar Music
label, in the early 1970's. She sang a few of B&B 's songs, notably (SÄJ DET MED EN SÅNG) "Better to Have
Loved", "The Language of Love" and "Cecilia' She also did the original German covers of Hasta Manana " and "Fernando" and
her solo records were often produced by B&B.
