A Björn Ulvaeus career overview

Björn Ulvaeus was born in Vastervik, Sweden on April 25, 1945 (he was the oldest member of ABBA). Björn was gifted with an intelligence, savvy and sense of work ethic and craft that are rare for a pop star. Good at a lot of things but arguably not really great at any of them, Björn could sing lead, harmony, play guitar, produce , arrange and write songs. Björn as well, had a facility for languages, leadership skills, commercial instincts and business acumen. He also was a good judge of people, he managed to hook up with Benny Andersson-later to prove to be the greatest Swedish popular music composer ever... Björn 's music career has had a few phases. He played banjo with a traditional jazz band. He started with the Hootenanny Singers and continued working with them on and off through 1974... Björn 's actual solo recording career was actually quite brief, amounting to four singles from 1968-1969 that just as easily could have been called Hootenanny Singers records. From 1969 to 1972 he made records with Benny Andersson as part of the act called Björn and Benny, During the early 1970's Benny and Björn also worked together as house producers for Stig Anderson's Polar Records label primarily between 1971 and 1976.

From 1972 through 1983 Björn was a singer, co-writer/producer and guitarist for the legendary ABBA. After ABBA he has worked on three theatrical musicals with Benny Andersson, as well as some other songwriting and production with Benny. For a time between 1984-1990 Björn actually lived in England, and had a computer consulting business. By the late 1980's Björn had pretty much stopped producing or playing on recordings. By the mid 1990's he had stopped writing music, and now only writes lyrics. In recent years Björn has been heavily involved with promoting and producing various versions of Mamma Mia. Björn has been married twice.

Björn Ulvaeus' time with the Hootenanny Singers (1964-1975)

Björn began his recording career with the Hootenanny Singers in 1964. Björn Ulvaeus was the group's leader, but not it's founder. The Hootenanny Singers other members were- Tony Roth (who often played bass), Johan Karlberg and the band's tall German-born founder-Hansi Swartz. Yes, Oddly a key member of a quintessential Swedish folk band was a German national. The other three Hootz were Swedish folk. All four Hootz sang and played instruments, though often studio musicians played on their records.

Their main repertoire was Swedish Folk music, but they also dabbled into American pop, folk and country music . On occasion, they would do original material . They recorded songs primarily in Swedish ,secondarily in English but also in German, Spanish Finnish, and Danish . Everything but Esperanto..

The Hootenanny Singers put out a lot of albums, singles and extended play discs. (More recordings than the Swedish language careers of Agnetha and Frida combined.)

The Hootenanny Singers early repertoire is made of both American and European folk music. In the middle of the 1960's they made some attempts to appeal the international folk/rock market, and Bjorn wrote or co wrote original material for the band... but by 1968 the Hootz had lowered their sights a little.

In 1968 /1969 Bjorn recorded his solo singles but Hootz continued on with him as a member. During the late sixties- the Hootz added country music covers to their repertoire. in the 1970's the the Hootz were a less activity entity, touring and recording less. Their 1970's material is almost entirely covers of Swedish folk music . Bjorn left the group in late 1974. The group continued without him till 1982.

The music the Hootenanny Singers recorded is heavy on acoustic guitars and other modern folk instruments but other instruments show up as
well. Their music was usually impeccably recorded with rich vocals and crisp string work. All of their records were released on the Polar label and up to 1971 were produced (some with Björn's assistance) by Polar Music A&R man Bengt Bernhag . Bengt was Björn Ulvaeus' mentor, and Stig Anderson's partner at Polar Records. Bengt Bernhag died in July 1971, and the remaining records were produced by B&B and/or Stig.

Understanding what is going on a Hootenanny's record can be a challenge since most of their material was done in Swedish, a lot of the songs are Swedish folk tunes, and thirdly, you'll keep asking yourself which one of the other guys is doing the singing when Björn is not singing lead. The Hootz 1960's albums, singles and EP's are not as easy to find as their 1970's stuff since much of their 1960's material has yet to be issued onto to CD. Polar did release most of the Hootenanny Singers later albums on CD for the Scandinavian market.

Björn reunited with Hansi, and Tony for one song at the Vastervik folk in July 2005, but he barely sang since he has not sung professionally since the 1980's. (Johan Karlberg had died in 1992)

(Editors note-The use of the abbreviations Hootz and boyz are merely used in fun, they are in no way historically accurate . Benny never, I repeat, NEVER went up to Björn and asked him how his "hootz boyz" were shaking.)

*EDITORS note, At the present time, (As of September 2008) all but one of of the Hootenanny's albums are out of print, so you may have to hunt around to get their stuff.

Hootenanny Singers-Hootenanny Singers, Polar POLP 201, February 1964 Out of print Swedish LP

This is the Hootenanny Singers debut album.
The group started life in 1963 on Sweden's west coast in Vastervik, Sweden as the West Bay Singers but Stig Anderson changed their name to the Hootenanny Singers when he signed them up to be Polar Records' first act. It was Stig that encouraged them to emphasize Swedish folk music. Swedish folk music would be the one constant in the Hootenanny repertoire. The group was discovered by Polar's A&R man, Bengt Bernhag, who also produce all of their 1960's recordings,

The group was not a full time pursuit ,the boyz went to college ,serve in the Swedish army and did other jobs during the group's lifespan.

The Hootenanny's first album included their first
hit " Jag Vantar Vid Min Mila" (a updated Dan Andersson song which supposedly translates to "I'm Waiting For You at the Charcoal Kiln") It's a surprisingly powerful debut single. A harmonica is featured prominently!
At the group's behest , some English folk songs were included on
the album -songs such as " Little Light Of Mine" ,"Spanish Is The Loving Tongue" ,"Bonnie Ship The Diamond" ,"Kevin Berry " and there is even a song in Spanish ("Ave Maria No Morro").

Hootenanny Singers-Hem Egan, Lincolnsvisa & others Swedish EP August1964

This was the Hootenanny's second of about eight Swedish Extended Play discs, I don't normally include EP's in the this narrative .But, unlike most of their EP's this one includes two non-album tracks... Those tracks are "This Land Is Your Land" and "Lincolnsvisa" both of these tracks feature a guest appearence by Swedish folk singer Lasse Frosterud,. All of the Hootz's EP's have about four songs apiece and Hootz seemed to have stopped releasing EP's in late 1967

Lincolnsvisa/This Land Is Your Land/Hem Igen/Godnattsaga

Hootenanny Singers-Hootenanny Singers (2nd album), Polar POLP 202, November 1964 Out of print Swedish LP

This album includes the single "Gabrielle "a song credited to Stig and a B.Thomas. "Gabrille" was recorded in more than one language. Most of the songs on this LP
are in Swedish , this album features lots of banjo presumably performed by Bjorn.
" Den  Gyllen Fregatt" is interesting in that clearly has Hansi, Tony, and Johan singing lead vocals.
One interesting coincidence to note here is that Agnetha Faltskog also did not bother to come up with specific titles for her first two albums.

Evert Taube (1890-1976) was one of Sweden's greatest songwriters , Taube was the subject of two albums by the Hootz. This was their first album of Taube songs. This features the hit "Den Skona Helen" which has a bit of Country music feel to it. Hootenanny expert, Karl Dan is of the opinion that the Hootz covers of Evert Taube and Carl Bellman are among their best work.

THE HOOTENANNY SINGERS -FOREIGN LANGUAGE SINGLES 1964-1967

The Hootz released the 1964 recording "Gabrielle" in six different languages. I can think of no other ABBA related song that had been recorded in so many different languages by the same artist...This all was part of Stig Anderson's unsuccessful to break the Hootenanny Singers internationally...

Hootenanny Singers-International, Polar POLP 206 Mid 1966 Out of print Swedish LP

The first of two Hootenanny Singers albums that were aimed a little more at international pop/rock market. Our Björn goes off to London here to record a few tracks and to take in the scene. The resulting album includes the key song, " No Time " -Björn's first released composition in English. Björn had help from Martin Dean on the songs' socially conscious lyrics. Benny Andersson's band, the Hep Stars would record "No Time" later in the year . Others songs in English include "Time To Move Along" ,and "In the Darkness of My Night". The major Swedish song here was "Björkens Visa "(Song of the Birch Tree).

hootenanny Singers- Manga Ansikten/Many Faces, Polar POLP 209, Late 1966 Out of print Swedish LP

There you go a translation in the actual album title. The cover features two nearly identical photos of the boyz, one serious , one relaxed. The songs on side one are in Swedish and on side two are in English. The English titles include "Through Darkness Light"

One song from this album "Vid Roines Strand" can be seen and heard in this August 1966 movie- Swedish ASA -NISSE I RAKETFROM. There was actually a whole series of ASa -NISSE movies.;

(written and produced by Manfred Mann's Mike 'D'Abo) ,"Just The Way That You Are" , "The Long Black Veil" as well as two more famous songs-"Baby, those Are The Rules" and "Sunny Girl".

This album includes Björn's chauvinistic but, hopefully, tongue in cheek pop song "Baby Those Are The Rules". Like lots of Hootz records "...Rules" features harmonica, some interesting rthyms, and some kind of weak lead vocal by Bjorn, The annoying lyrics on "Baby ..." were written by American producer Sandy Alexander.

This album also has a version of Benny's song "Sunny Girl" as well as Benny's first appearence playing together on record with Björn on the song "Blomman"(The Flower). Benny's organ takes over the record on "Blomman". Interestingly, the song "Vid Roines Strand" features lyrics by the famous Finnish novelist., Topelius. The best of the remaining songs on the album, was Björn 's composition-"In Thoughts of You".

INTERNATIONAL and MANY FACES are two of the most important Hootz albums but strangely they have not been chosen to be re-released on CD.

Northern Lights-GABRILLE, U.A. International,  UN 14507 Out of print British, American 1967 LP

Björn was the first of the eventual- members of ABBA to have an album released in America. This album was also released in Britain. The Hootenanny Singers released this album under the name Northern Lights . Strangely Swedish language tracks were chosen, even though English language tracks were available,The LP includes songs from the first few Hootenanny Singers albums. Not surprisingly, the album didn't go anywhere- but it does exist. I have seen it with thine eyes! (Thank you, Bob Eber!)

Hootenanny Singers-Civila, Polar POLP 211, Mid to Late 1967 Out of print Swedish LP

The title means "civilians", a reference to the the fact that three of the Hootz had just recently completed their tour of duty in the Swedish army. Björn , Tony and Johan all did their military stints from around mid -1966 to April -1967. Hansi didn't have to do service since he was a German national. For some reason, the Hootenanny's started to tone down their attempts at international success from this point onwards.

This album has "En Gang ar Ingen Gang" which is a cover of "There Goes My Everything" an American country music song. This was a song that Frida also did a cover of. Covers of country songs would be become a major part of the Hootz repretoire in the later 1960's.

The Hootz retreat to a largely Swedish repertoire on this album with songs such as "Början Till Slutet " (a cover of "Almost Persuaded") , "Marie-Christina" ," Laura (Vad Är Den Han Har Som Fattas Mej) "and " Mårten Gås ". " Mårten Gås "is a jaunty song made bizarre by the strange lead vocals of the Hootz's grizzled roadie . But hey Swedes liked it at the time... This album marked the first time Björn worked with Michael Tretow. Tretow was one of the engineers on Civila.

Hootenanny Singers-Basta, Polar POLL 101, October 1967 Swedish LP Reisiued in 1976 with a different cover..Released on expanded CD release 1991

The original BASTA LP (the first half of the a 1990's CD reissue)
covers 1964-1967. It starts with the Hootz first hit "Jag Vantar Vd Min Mila" and ends with two of Björn's English language compositions for the band, "No Time" and "Baby Those Are The Rules" . Also included on the first half of the CD are "Gabrille (Swedish version), 'Marianne" and "Blomman" This also has non- album Swedish version of "Green Green Grass of Home", one of the Hootz earliest experiments in country music. It was also the first of group records to favor lead vocals from Bjorn rather a group vocal sound, and one the first records to feature a session orchestra..

The second half of the BASTA CD features The Hootenanny's second hit collection from 1969 .BASTA is one of three Hootenanny compilation CD's available. Two later CD ,called the PA SVENSKA and Musik Vi Minns feature some of the best songs that the Hootz did in Swedish. These latter two compilations have the advantage of including songs from the Hootz early 1970's work but do not include the Hootz's English language work.

The CD version of this album combines this album with 1969's
collection called DU BASTE MED HOOTENANNY Singers and Björn Ulvaeus (see review below). So that makes this CD a great value and a reasonably simple way to get most of the important 1960's Hootenanny songs.
If you can only have only one Hootz record in your collection this would be the one to have!

If you only have Van Gogh, I would recommend ""Starry Starry Night"

Hootenanny Singers-Bellman På vårt satt, Polar POLS 214, Mid 1968 Available on Swedish CD May ?1992

Our boyz are depicted on the cover decked out in 1700's garb. Björn has a mustache and is holding a wooden flute. Hansi is sharing a cocktail with Johan. When we read the liner notes we find all the songs have long titles and references to numbered epistles. Whatz up! Well our boyz are paying homage to Swedish poet/musician Carl Michael Bellmann (1740-1795). The album's title means-" Bellmann our way".

Bellmann's classic work was the Fredman's Epistlar published in 1790. It's 82 songs tell the story of a middle class hard drinking clockmaker in a style that in parodies the Pauline epistles. All of the songs here are adaptations of Bellmann songs .The boyz had to shorten many of the texts.

It's not clear where the impetus for this project came. Obscure Hootz albums are not the kind of thing you hear about in ABBA interviews. This album comes dangerously close to being a concept album... . Of course, three other times during the group's career the group did albums focusing on the repertoires of a particular Swedish songwriter.

The first track on the album ,"Maltidssang", was a modest Swedish hit for the boyz. This is obviously a less pop sounding album but the boys strident harmony singing sounds the same as it always has. Interestingly, there are some short orchestral bits thrown in here and there that were arranged by S.O. Walldorf. Walldorf would also do string arrangements for Agnetha's solo albums and ABBA themselves.

This album was recorded at Metronome Studios in Stockholm and co-engineered by Michael Tretow. One source claims that some of the album was recorded in Austria. This is the earliest of the the Hootz studio albums to be currently available on CD. This is the only Hootz studio album from the 1960's available on CD. It was released on CD in 1992.

Hootenanny Singers-Fem År, Polar Pols 215, Late 1968 Out of print Swedish LP

The album title translates to Five Years-I have also seen the title listed as Fave Ar. The Hootz had been together five years. This features a very strangely recorded Swedish cover of the Turtles hit-"Elenore" . (Well I suppose this version of "Elenore" is not that strange since weird effects & phased guitars were normal in the psychedelic era.) This album also features Björn 's solo 45 version of Harper Valley PTA called "Froken Fredriksson" and it's B-side, VÅR EGEN SÅNG

On this album the Hootz do a Kingston Trio song "Greenback dollar' -the Hootz were continuing to draw on folk sources for the majority of their
material even though Björn still yearned for a international rock/pop career. But the Hootenanny's cut back on their efforts in the English language at this point.

Hootenanny Singers & Björn Ulvaeus-Du Baste Hootenanny Singers & Björn Ulvaeus, Polar POLL 103, Out of print LP Early to Mid 1969 Reissued on CD in tandem with BASTA on 1992 Swedish CD

This is the second Hootenanny Singers hits collection It includes tracks from 1966-1969. Three of the tracks are actually songs from Björn 's solo singles.

The late sixties were a strange period for the Hootz-where they jumped around stylistically from country, Swedish folk and pop music.

Three of Björn's A-sides made it onto this album which also functioned as the Hootz second Greatest Hits collection. Björn's covers of" Harper Valley PTA" (rewritten to become "Froken Frederickson' -they must not have PTA's in Sweden) and the Bobby Goldsboro's hit "Honey" (called here "Raring') Both of these records were Swedish hits.

The most interesting song from the second hit collection is a original composition by Björn done for the Hootz as a single that was called "Mrs O'Grady" . which features great rhythms and intriguing English lyrics. The use of staccato strings was inspired no doubt by Beatles records like "Eleanor Rigby".

All the tracks released on this LP were added to CD version of BASTA as bonus tracks.

  Björn Ulvaeus Solo Career- 1968-1969

So you often ask yourselves- Hey did Björn ever have a career as a solo artist? The answer is yes.
Björn's short solo career occurred whilst he was still a Hootenanny, and most of his solo tracks showed up on Hootenanny Signers albums. His solo career only ended because he joined up with Benny to become a duo in late 1969 (The duo were called Björn and Benny).

Björn put out , under his own name, four singles (but no LP) out in 1968/69 on the Polar label. Six of the eight songs can be found on albums released by the Hootenanny Singers. His first three singles were successful. ...These first three of Björn's A-sides made it onto Du Baste Hootenanny Singers & Björn Ulvaeus an album which was the Hootenanny Singers second Greatest Hits collection.

The Hootenanny Singers-PÅ TRE MAN HAND, Polar POLS 220, Out of print December 1969 Swedish LP

And then there were three! The album's title means -"A group of Three" The apparently irreplaceable singer Johan Karlberg, left to work at his father's car dealership. This was prior to the making of this album so the Hootz were forced to make do as a threesome. Yes three guys, count 'em one,two , three....They never replaced Johan....after all the money was better spilt three ways...However, during their remaining summer concert tours the Hootz would hire additional musicians to make for a bigger sound -this year supposedly a Lars Christian played the bass...This album has a psychedelic cover.

This album includes includes Swedish covers of country song like "Stand By Your Man "and Wichita Lineman, but also rather strangely a Swedish version of The Beatles "Maxwell's Silver Hammer". " There are also some English language tracks "When I was Young" & "Who's Gonna Hold Your Hand", The Hootz pretty much stopped recording English language tracks after this album..... This album has two tracks credited to Björn alone
when they were released as singles- the pleasent if drippy ballad "Kvinnan I Mitt Liv" and the bizarre Andersson/Andersson/ Ulvaeus novelty record-"Partaj-aj-aj". This album is one of the lesser Hootz efforts.

Hootenanny Singers-Skilling Tryck, Polar Pols 225, Out of print Mid 1970 Swedish LP. Out of print Swedish 1992 CD

This album has a very casual but attractive picture of Björn, Hansi and Totta
on the cover. the title very loosely translates to " Printed Pamplet which costs one Skilling to buy"which is an arcane reference to old folk sheet music. Both Benny Andersson and Micke Tretow worked on this album. THIS WAS the Hootz 10th studio album and the last Hootz album produced by Bengt Bernhag who died in 1971. The opening number features a cool progression with addtition of each instrument one at time till the song reaches it's climax...

Hootenanny Singers =Vara Vackraste Visor, Polar POLS 229, Swedish LP August 1971. Released on Swedish CD 1991

Björn, Hansi and Totta (also known as Tony )
recorded this their eleventh studio album in July 71,at Europafilm.

Supposedly the title means "Our Most Beautiful Songs".
Although the cover makes this album look like
a live album -it is not. And it's not a compilation album. It is simply yet another Hootz studio album featuring covers of folk songs.

This album was produced by Benny Andersson, the first Hootz album recorded after the Hootz' long time producer Bengt Bernhag died.
Because Benny is involved and sometimes plays-there tends to be a lot more piano and accordion on the the two triple V albums, then on the Hootz 1960's records.

Every time you hear a keyboard on a post 1969 Hootennany record you find yourself wondering ."Is that Benny?".. One of those times is on a great keyboard solo on the traditional Swedish folk tune "Horgalaten". The keyboard solo utterly blows one away.. Interestingly, Benny later recorded "Horgalaten" again for his 1990 "Fiolen Min" Swedish folk album. The song Hjärtets Saga was also recorded by Agnetha Faltskog on her SOM JAG AR album. Another cool track on this record is Björn 's haunting vocal on "En Valsmelodi".

Hootenanny Singers- Vara Vackraste Visor Volume 2, Polar POLS 236, October 1972 Avail. on Swedish CD 1991

Produced by Björn and Stig. The Hootz did their last tour with Björn on the summer of 1972 .
Why this was called VVV part two? -Perhaps because like the first VVV album this album features songs by Evert Taube, Dan
Andersson and Birger Sjoberg amongst others. By this time, the Hootz had stopped trying to impress their audience with annoying covers of American country & pop songs.

The main drawback of the two VVV albums ,and of all of the later Hootz albums is that none of the songs on these albums were written by Björn and or Benny. (B&B did take a publishers credit for arranging some of the traditional songs here.) However, at least, that means that the later albums don't try to go too many different directions which is often a problem on the Hootenanny's 1960's stuff, so the later albums are more focused.

Michael Tretow engineers a few of the tracks here. The lovely "Omkring tiggarn Fran Luossa" is leadoff song here. Björn's sensitive vocal is coupled with some wistful piano playing. "Fran Luossa" supposedly set a record for amount of time on the Swedish Svensktoppen chart ( a record that was first broken by "Guldet Blev Sand" , from B&B's KRISTINA). And though, I have read that fact in at least two places, it seems kind of weird since "Omkring tiggarn Fran Luossa" was not actually released as a single! Apparently on occasion the songs on the Svensktoppen were not actually released on singles.

The Hootz did their last tour with Björn on the summer of 1972 . The three Hootz were joined on their tour by Kjell Jeppson, Hams Bergkvist, and soon to be ABBA bass player- Rutger Gunnarsson.

The original album is no longer available, but the entire contents were reissued in tandem with Agnetha and Linda's Christmas album on the 1994 Polar CD -JULENS MUSIK. Hootenanny Singers-Dan Andersson Pa Vart Satt, Polar POLS 249, August 1973 Swedish LP. Released on Swedish CD March 1991

Their 13th studio album features a river on the cover, This album was recorded in late spring and released in August. This album once again featured more involvement from Hansi and Tony. The album features songs written by the great Swedish poet Dan Andersson (no relation to Benny). Dan Andersson (1888-1920) was a tortured poet with an eye towards the concerns of the working class. Andersson was more lyricist than a musician so many of his songs featured music written by others.

The version of Jag Väntar Vid Min Mila is a new one. There was no ambition here other than to put out a good album. According to Carl Magnus Palm, this is one of the Hootz best albums. Michael Tretow engineered this album and Benny plays on it...

More songs from the repertoire of Evert Taube (the album title means Evert Taube -Our Way)

Once again, there are no Hootz on the cover just a lovely photo of a red house on rocky Swedish isle. The house reminds one of Stig Anderson's island house. Makes you want to go out to the archipelego and write # 1 hits.

This was recorded and produced in summer of 1974 by B&B after "Waterloo"had broken ABBA internationally. This is Björn's last work with the Hootz and it was only recorded cos B&B didn't want to back out on the commitment to make the album . At this point, Björn finally left the Hootenanny's so as to devote more time to his other group-ABBA.

Hootenanny Singers -Nya Vindar, Polar POLS 304, Out of print 1979 Swedish LP

The Hootz made this studio album without Björn who had permanently left the group in 1974. The group had continued for a few years without Björn , though Björn and Benny did appear with the group at a Vasterik folk festival concert in 1977.

The group somehow ended up with four members again. The Two new members supposedly were guitarist /singer Martin Rinaldi and Eoin Clancy. The songs were mostly Swedish-with the exception of a version of "Greensleeves". The title track was written by Mats Paulson, it has shown up on some of the later compilations. The group also released a track in 1979 on the "VisFestivalen i Västervik 1979 a Polar album that featured songs from a Vastevik folk festival that Hansi has helped organize ever since.

Hootenanny Singers Reunion- Early 1989...No singing involved...

The Hootenanny Singers appeared together on Swedish TV for a interview in Early (January? 1989. (Perhaps because Early 1989 was their 25th anniversary since their first record . Yes even his lordship, Bjorn Ulvaeus showed up for this get together with his ex-bandmates Johan Karlberg, Tony Roth, and Hansi Schwarz. The "fifth Hootenanny" roadie Hans Bergkvist was also there....I believe this is the last time all four guys were seen in public together.. Johan Karlberg would die three years later on August 16, 1992..He was only 49 when he died....

Hootenanny Singers-Svenska Favoriter February 1995 Available on Swedish CD

A more recent Hootz Best of collection, this features both 1960's and 1970's material .(BASTA stops at 1969). This CD includes songs such as "Marianne". "Gabrielle"," Omking Fran Louissa" and Björn's Swedish version of "Harper Valley PTA" called Fröken Fredriksson.

All the songs on this CD are in Swedish, thus this album doesn't include the Hootz English recordings such as "No Time", "Baby Those Are The Rules" or "Mrs. O'Grady" which are among the most interesting of the Hootz songs. So if you were to get just one Hootz CD get "BASTA". And then have a long cool drink.

Hootenanny Singers Reunion 2005 ...

Björn reunited with Hansi, and Tony for one song ("Marianne") at Hansi's Vastervik folk festival in July 2005. .. Björn joined Hansi and Toni on stage at something like 1AM-so it was hardly a very satisfying reunion...(as we stated before Johan Karlberg had already passed away, so he could only be there in spirit.) The video of the performance features Hansi doing most of the singing-it's hard to hear Bjorn sing...Maybe that's a good thing....
